Willa P. Nardini, 89

Willa P. Nardini passed away peacefully in her sleep at Coeur d'Alene Homes on March 10, 2011, at age 89.

Willa was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Concord, N.H., to Mayme and Thomas Pilsbury. She was one of six siblings, all of whom she outlived.

She attended school in Concord where she met and fell in love with Frank Nardini. They were married April 21, 1939, and moved to California to be with his mother and sister.

Willa and Frank moved to San Carlos where they raised their three children Sandra, Steve and Susan. They lived in California until 1998, then moved to Coeur d'Alene to be near their daughters.

Willa was a homemaker all her life taking care of her husband, children and home. Frank preceded her in death in 2000.

She leaves behind her daughters, Sandy Gibson (Bill), Suzy Davidner (fiance George) of Coeur d'Alene and son Steve Nardini (fiance Leticia) of Belmont, Calif. "Nana" had six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, who always made her smile.

We want to thank the staff of Coeur d'Alene Homes for their exceptional and loving care of our mom. Words cannot describe how we felt to know she was in such capable and caring hands. You are truly the best!

A gathering in memory of Willa will be held in June.
