VOTING: Enough really is enough

| March 16, 2011 10:00 PM

We have never been told when voting that we could not vote the whole ballot. This levy vote is by far the most confusing, outrageous way for people to vote as they choose. Having the school district responsible for writing the ballot, counting the ballots, put the revenue in their general fund with no accountability whatsoever to the people. So as I see it, the school board wrote, counted the votes and will implement the results no matter what.

So as buyer beware so now the voter beware as of now your NO vote on proposition 1 NO LONGER MATTERS and come later this year you will receive a tax bill for not only the $7.8 million but an additional $5 million on top of that for a total of more than $12 million. And in two years you will be asked to vote to renew the $12 million plus probably another $5 million or more.

If the voting public would only wake up and see that in every election held anywhere people are told that the measure needs to be passed or else our police, fire and schools will go down the drain... WHEN WILL ALL OF US WAKE UP AND SEE THE CORRECT PATTERN OF YOUR VOTES by putting more and more money into the coffers hands? When will enough be enough?
