Grant to help homeless

BOISE - Homeless Idahoans will continue to have access to essential services through a grant distributed by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association.

IHFA has received $2.56 million in Continuum of Care grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that will provide permanent and transitional housing for homeless people across Idaho.

Coeur d'Alene area organizations to receive money:

* St. Vincent de Paul, Coeur d'Alene: $96,302 for Angel Arms, which provides permanent housing for homeless single individuals with a disabling; $187,929 for Coeur d'Alene Transitional Housing, which provides up to two years of housing for homeless families; and $41,576 for KAMPS, which provides up to two years of transitional housing for homeless families where one adult has a disabling condition.
