GIFT: Makes wedding even better

| March 16, 2011 10:00 PM

This is a delayed note of gratitude toward an anonymous person, who happened to be at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant on the night of Feb. 21. On that snowy evening, my fiance and I had said our vows, starting our life together. It was a just a small civil ceremony, which was followed by dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

My husband had been wearing his service alphas, as he is a Marine Corps Reservist. As my husband and I were waiting for our food, the waitress informed us that a man had put $100 toward our bill, and told her to "thank the young man in the uniform for his service to our country."

Our hearts were touched by this unknown man's generosity. All we can say is, if you are that person who gave us the most memorable wedding gift of all, we thank you. God Bless.
