Eugene Paul Haag Sr., 73

Eugene Paul Haag Sr., 73, passed away at Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene on March 14, 2011.

Eugene was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on April 27, 1937, to Eugene Christian and Johana (Klotz) Haag. He was raised in New Rochelle and graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1955. In 1960, he graduated from Duke University with a degree in accounting. Eugene moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2009.

Eugene married Judith Ann Thornton on Sept. 10, 1960, in White Plains, N.Y.

He enjoyed golfing and traveling especially to Hilton Head, S.C.

He is survived by his son Eugene Haag Jr. and wife Nancy of Coeur d'Alene; son Jonathan and wife Christine Haag of Lorton, Va.; son Jason Haag of Mahopac, N.Y.; daughter Jessica Haag of Troy, N.Y.; eight grandchildren. Angie (Haag) - "I Love You More..."

Eugene is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Haag in 1980; his wife, Judith in 1996 and brother Bruno Haag.
