IDAHO: Provider of education
Careful reading of the U.S. Constitution fails to find reference to any responsibility for the U.S. Government to provide Education to its citizens.
Furthermore, the Tenth Amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." In other words, the Constitution provides that the Federal Government bears no responsibility for the education of citizens of Idaho, but the state of Idaho is the sole provider of Education for its citizens.
Question - since the Federal Government bears no responsibility for the conduct of education, why do we spend billions of tax dollars each year to operate and maintain the Department of Education?
