OROFINO - Senior J.D. Page had eight strikeouts and allowed two unearned runs as the Timberlake Tigers fell to the Orofino Maniacs 2-1 in the nonleague opener for both Friday afternoon.

"It was our first time on the field this year and only Orofino's fifth," Timberlake coach Bill Rider said. "Both of us are fairly young this year and both had some early season mistakes. Tomorrow is going to be a good day. Hopefully the weather holds up."
