Violet Jean O'Bleness, 72
Violet Jean O'Bleness, 72, passed away March 9, 2011, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1938, in Coeur d'Alene to Clarence and Mona Schmidt.
Violet grew up and attended school in Wolf Lodge and graduated from high school in Rose Lake. She studied the truths in the Bible and dedicated her life to the service of her great and majestic god Jehovah in May 22, 1954. She was a faithful Jehovah's Witness and spent countless hours helping many people learn about the good news of God's Kingdom.
On June 2, 1956, Violet married Arthur O'Bleness and shortly thereafter they moved to Libby. Wile in Libby they were blessed with three children: Jeannie, Keith and Chad. She was a dedicated wife and mother, grandmother of four and great-grandmother of two. Violet enjoyed the outdoors but she especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Schmidt; her mother, Mona Schmidt and her sister, Dorine Maciosek.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur O'Bleness and their three children: Jeanie O'Bleness Gilder of Libby, Keith O'Bleness and his wife Darcy of Libby and Chad O'Bleness of Libby; sisters, Lucille Mcpherson of Sandpoint and Ruth Inman of Kennewick, Wash.; four grandchildren, Chelsie Walen of Kalispell, Mont., Zachary Gilder of Kalispell, Caleb Gilder of Libby, Kaitlyn Gilder of Libby and two great-grandchildren, Izabella Walen and Daxton Gilder.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the memorial center, 111 E. Lincoln Blvd., Libby.
