SCHOOLS: Spending isn't the answer
I have been reading all the opinions of the citizens in Coeur d'Alene on Mr. Luna's proposal. Everyone is very passionate about it one way or another and I respect all opinions.
What I find VERY disturbing, is to see students in the paper with signs reading I don't want to lose my sexy teacher.
Then I read a teacher gives a lecture IN THE CLASSROOM on the passage of the upcoming election. (Can we say brainwashing on taxpayer money?)
Then reading a junior high student say, "I want to be something some day, and it is up to the adults in Idaho to make sure I get the right kind of education," has me wondering what is being taught in the schools with our tax dollars.
What I have learned in life is YOU have to make something of YOURSELF and it is up to YOUR parents to give you all the tools for the right education.
This country, this state and this town are in a crisis and EVERYONE has to cut back their spending to weather this storm.
You can only go to the taxpayers so many times. We are broke!
