Resort Academy fundraiser to benefit violence prevention center
COEUR d'ALENE - A dinner and auction to benefit the North Idaho Violence Prevention Center's Teen Violence Education program will take place Friday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Because the fundraiser is being hosted by The Resort Academy, it will be a teens-helping-teens event.
The Resort Academy is a two-year hospitality and tourism learning program provided through a partnership between Lakeland High School and The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Students are hosting the benefit banquet as their senior project.
The event begins at 6:20 p.m., and will include dinner, a live auction and silent auction, and a presentation about teen violence to help parents understand the violence their teens face every day in school, in technology and in their relationships.
Tickets are $60, with table sponsorships available.
