Faye (Jenny) Oberlander, 69

On March, 1, 2011, our beloved Jenny passed away in Ridgecrest, Calif., following a brief battle with pneumonia. She was cremated in Ridgecrest, Calif., by Holland & Lyons Mortuary. Jenny was born in India on March 11, 1941.

She began her career by modeling and being in the motion picture industry. In 1961 she booked passage on a ship and sailed to England where she met and married her husband Ron Oberlander, who was stationed in the Army there. In 1965 they moved to Sacramento, Calif., and eventually settled in Arroyo Grande, Calif.

In 2005 they moved to North Idaho. Jenny loved traveling, scrap booking, knitting and doing arts and crafts projects. She was past president of the local California Highway Patrol Women's Association and was an active member of the Rowdy Red Hatters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ron Oberlander of Hayden; daughter Suzanne and son-in-law Bill Semas of Ridgecrest; son Steven and daughter-in-law Kelly Oberlander of Chico, Calif.; granddaughters, Heather Oberlander, Kelsey Ziomek and Janice Ziomek; grandsons, Jared Rock and John Ziomek; sister Cynthia Maxwell of Perth, Western Australia; and sister-in-law Carole Oberlander of Hayden.

Jenny was preceded in death by both of her parents, Faye and Melville Murray.

Jenny was a loving and caring person and will be sadly missed by all whose lives she has touched.
