Reagan Republicans: Vote, Kootenai County

| March 8, 2011 10:28 AM

POST FALLS — The Kootenai County Reagan Republicans funded thousands of calls to voters in the Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene School Districts on the eve of today’s levy elections.

The organization, which actively supported “Get Out The Vote” programs during the 2009 Coeur d’Alene city election and the 2010 general election, hopes to increase voter participation in this year’s levy elections.  In the organization’s March 8th newsletter  (http://www.reaganrepublicans.net/news.html) KCRR President Jeff Ward commented,  “We thought this election was so important that the Reagan Republican Victory Fund made thousands of calls reminding voters about today's election.”

Ward called today’s votes “truly participatory democracy on the local level” because voters “will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to tax ourselves.”

The prerecorded calls were made to registered voters in the Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene School Districts last evening, March 7 with the following message:

“Hi, I’m Jeff Ward, president of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans just calling to remind you that tomorrow, Tuesday March 8 , is school levy election day in the Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls school Districts.  The Reagan Republicans encourage you to exercise your right to vote tomorrow.  For more information log on to www. reaganrepublicans.net , that’s www.reaganrepublicans.net.”
