Coach lifts suspension, Thompson will play in tourney
PULLMAN(AP) - Washington State basketball coach Ken Bone said star Klay Thompson's suspension has been lifted. That means he will be allowed to play in the Pacific-10 basketball tournament.
Thompson was cited for marijuana possession last Thursday after being stopped for a broken headlight, and was suspended for Saturday's overtime loss to UCLA.
Thompson is the leading scorer in the Pac-10 and the Cougars will play rival Washington on Thursday in the tournament.
Bone also said Monday it was unclear whether point guard Reggie Moore is recovered enough from a foot injury to play against Washington. Moore also sat out the UCLA game.
Moore was cited for marijuana possession this season and received a one-game suspension.
Moore, who also sat out of the UCLA game, was to be evaluated by the team trainer at Monday's practice.
