LEVY: Support kids in lean times

I would like to thank the voters of Coeur d'Alene for their continued support of School District 271.

I'm raising a granddaughter who just turned 13 and she attends Lakes Middle School. I have seen the fine results of past levies at the school - money well spent.

I hope the voters continue to support schools, even in this harsh economy. If you do not support the children in lean times, you probably will not support them in fat times. As another writer pointed out, the short-term cost of a good education is cheap compared to the long-term cost of ignorance.
