CARE: Helped during final days
To the many people who helped my wife and me during my wife's final days I must say thank you all very much. There are so many to thank: Hospice of North Idaho, Life Care Center of Post Falls, Kootenai Medical Center, Gentiva Home Health and many individuals who were so caring during that difficult time. I can only say you all were so great and generous with your time and talents. I will never forget you.
I also want to thank Dolores Hawkins, a very wonderful volunteer with the local chapter of the Alzheimers Association who very faithfully spent time with my wife while I did chores and shopping, etc.
All of the resources available to the local Senior community are to be commended for all they do.

TEAM: Support from nonprofit
We would like to thank the North Idaho Discovery Association for sponsoring our robotics team "Pascal's Wager."
Thanks to the support of the nonprofit, we were able to compete at the Montana First Tech Challenge this month in Bozeman, Mont., where our team made it to the semifinals.
Our team was comprised of a seventh-grade student, two eighth-grade students and one ninth-grade student, making it the youngest team at the high school-level competition. The team scored an overall fifth place out of 25 teams and won a fourth-place prize in the Alliance category, which required them to work together with another team to score points.
Pascal Academy's rookie robotics team members are Christopher Major, Adam DeLuca, Miranda Ronald and Erik Finman. We would like to thank Lorna Finman for coaching the team.
Without the support of the North Idaho Discover Association it would be difficult for a school of our size to provide the opportunity for our students to participate in activities such as robotics.
Sincerely,
DAVID RONALD

HOSPICE: Love one in good care
I'm writing to express my heartfelt thanks to the North Idaho Hospice.
They took such good care of my husband, John Spreen, for the last few weeks of his life. He called them his "Hospice Angels" and indeed they are. They took care of him in such a kind and loving way, it was like they were family. Thanks to every one of them.
