Art association selling raffle tickets

The Coeur d'Alene Art Association is selling raffle tickets to benefit the organization's scholarship fund.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, which includes two chances to win original art.

The grand prize is a $200 gift certificate toward the purchase of a piece of art from any Coeur d'Alene Art Association member who is showing at their 2011 Fine Art Show.

A beautiful abstract painting called "Journey to the Wind" by Joanne Reeds is the second prize.

The winning ticket for the grand prize will be drawn 5:30 p.m. April 8 during the annual artist showcase reception at the Resort Plaza Shops. The second drawing is Saturday, April 9.

Tickets are available at the association's weekly Paint with a Friend sessions, Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon at St. Luke's Church Fifth and Wallace, or contact Mary, 667-5289, or visit www.coeurdaleneartassoc.org.

Proceeds will go into the club's scholarship fund used to benefit two North Idaho College students.
