Gonzaga players
honored by coaches
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga men's basketball players Steven Gray, Robert Sacre, Elias Harris, Marquise Carter and Sam Dower were honored as the West Coast Conference announced its all-conference teams and individual award winners on Tuesday.
Gray and Sacre were named to the All-WCC first team, while Harris was an honorable mention. Carter was named Newcomer of the Year and Dower was named to the all-freshman team.
Saint Mary's senior guard Mickey McConnell was named the Player of the Year and Santa Clara senior Troy Payne was recongnized as the Defensive Player of the Year.
Saint Mary's coach Randy Bennett earned Coach of the Year honors for the second time.

WHL goaltender honor
CALGARY, Alberta - Spokane Chiefs goaltender Mac Engel was named the Western Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for February, the league announced on Tuesday.
The 17-year old goaltender posted a 9-2-0-0 record through February with two shutouts and maitained a 1.83 goals-against average and 0.930 save percentage.
Spokane has won eight of its last 10 games and currently sits second in the WHL Western Conference's U.S. Division with a 40-17-4-2 record for 86 points, one behind division and conference-leading Portland.
He has appeared in 29 games his rookie season, posting an 11-7-2-1 record.
Shock make more
training camp moves
SPOKANE - The Spokane Shock signed quarterback Bill Stull and defensive lineman Emmanuel Lockett, and defensive lineman Terence Moore has been placed on reassignment, the team announced Tuesday.
In another move, the Shock traded wide receiver Charles Dillon to the Chicago Rush for claim order position.
Stull (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) started his professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2010. After being released by the Chiefs, Stull signed with the United Football League's Hartford Colonials before being released in training camp.
He completed 60 percent of his passes for 5,284 yards, 32 touchdowns and 18 interceptions for the University of Pittsburgh.
Lockett (6-1, 315) is a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he appeared in 23 games. Prior to transferring, he was named to the 2005-06 All-Academic team at Texas College where he helped guide the team to a berth in the NAIA championship game.
