Volunteer drivers needed for fundraiser

Family Promise of North Idaho needs volunteer drivers for a day.

"We have been offered a sizeable sum if we can provide 40 volunteers to drive cars from one town in Washington to another for a liquidation sale," a press release said. "Kind of like a modern day cattle drive without the cattle."

Family Promise provides temporary shelter for homeless families.

Forty drivers are needed on June 28, and again July 5 to be at FPNI's day center at 7 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 501 Wallace in Coeur d'Alene.

Drivers will ride a charter bus to the starting destination in Washington state for the drive and return home in the afternoon. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Just bring your valid driver's license.
