Area churches offer Vacation Bible School

• Community Presbyterian Church in Post Falls will take kids on a rain forest expedition with Treasure Hunt Bible Adventure June 27-July 1 from 9-11:45 a.m.

The program will beat Camp White, 1931 Rodkey Dr., Post Falls.

Each day children will dig into the Bible learning they can see, hear, touch and even taste.

The program is free, but donations will be accepted. Register at wwwpfcpc.org or call 773-2527 for information.

• Lutheran Church of the Master will holdVacation Bible SchoolJune 20-24 from 9 a.m. to noon and is available for grades K-5.

The theme is Son Surf Beach Bash and includes crafts, music, Bible stories and games. The church is at 4800 N. Ramsey Road. The program is free to the community. Pre-registration is preferred and forms are available in the church office. Information: 765-1002.

• Spirit Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church will hold "One-Of-A-Kind-Zoo" July 11-15 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children ages 4-12 are welcome.For questions or to register for this free program, call 762-9148.

• Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene, will hold a day camp from July 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

The camp will be staffed by Twinlow Church Camp leaders and volunteers. The theme is "Be a Hero: Living Like Jesus." The camp will offer indoor and outdoor activities, crafts, games, music and one full day at Twinlow on Twin Lakes in Rathdrum.

Registration begins today. Cost is $25 for the week. Scholarships are available. To register and find information call 765-8800.

• St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene, will hold "PandaMania: Where God is Wild About You" from Monday through June 17 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The program, open to kids from age 4 though the fourth grade, is $20 for registered parishioners or $30 for non-registered parishioners. Kids explore a bamboo forest filled with crazy pandas as they learn about the Bible.

• Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Road, next to Skate Plaza in Coeur d'Alene, will host an Awana-based day camp for ages 5 to 11 from 9 a.m. to noon June 20-24.

The theme is "Let Your Light Shine."

The program is free, but donations will be accepted.

A Leaders in Training program for ages 12 and 13 will be offered.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. 5th St., Coeur d'Alene, will host afree morning campfor kids entering grades K-5 Aug. 8-12 from 9 a.m.-noon each day.

The camp will be staffed by Lutherhaven Camp leaders and church volunteers. The theme is Splish Splash.

• Pinehurst Community Bible Church, 210 Main, Pinehurst, will hold "Gold Rush - Discovering the Rock of Ages" June 20-24 from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 5 to 11.
