TOUR: Kids had a wonderful time

Thank you Hayden Super 1 Foods and manager Wayne for a great experience for the Hayden Kinder Center Kindergartners.

The kids had a wonderful time and learned a lot. We saw a bread slicing and a cake decorating demonstration (which was pretty impressive!). We got to see the giant fridge and freezer, plus the box crusher in action. And to top it off, they received a bag full of goodies and a T-shirt!

Thank you again for your friendly staff and hospitality. We parents enjoyed it too.

RESORT: 3Cs show gratitude

On behalf of 3Cs (Cancer & Community Charities) I would like to thank The Coeur d'Alene Resort for allowing our organization to participate in their 2011 Wine Extravaganza which was held on Saturday, April 30. Not only did The Resort generously allow 3Cs to retain the money from the tickets which were sold by our organization, but they also donated the proceeds from all of their pre-sold tickets to 3Cs.

It is due in part to the support and generosity of The Coeur d'Alene Resort that 3Cs will be able to make a sizable donation to many well deserving nonprofits in our community at our annual Appreciation Brunch which will be held on Aug. 25. We hope that many in our community will join us on that special day.

GARDEN: Grateful for all who helped

A recent window of sunshine allowed for more than 50 residents, families and volunteers to work together to successfully plant flowers and a vegetable garden in the Serenity Garden at Coeur d'Alene Homes Assisted Living and Memory Care. The garden is now full of color and we are extremely grateful to all who helped with the planting.

A special thank you goes to our local chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans who sponsored the event. We are truly grateful and ready to enjoy another summer in the garden!

KMC: Showed best of care

A huge thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at KMC for the best of care for our family member who suffered a heart attack over the Memorial Day weekend. Cardiologist Dr. Kadel is wonderful; Roger Evans was our Nursing Administrator liaison and is awesome. The team was caring, efficient, professional and obviously very knowledgeable and well trained. I wish I had the nurses' names as well, they were all kind and caring. Thank you so much your following your heart in this calling, coming to practice here and help save this life. God bless you all.

EVENT: People gave many hours

On behalf of the Lakeland High School staff and graduating class of 2011, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizations involved in hosting the assembly and mock car crash, which we were all fortunate to be a part of this week. The time, effort and commitment made by many people enabled us to have this memorable and impactful event at our school.

Thank you to Northern Lakes Fire and EMS, including Bill Holstein, Jim Lyon, and the multiple crew members; the Rathdrum Police Department, including Chief Fuhr, Tomi McClean, Mark Sherman plus the many others on the scene the day of the crash; the Idaho State Police, including Chuck Robnett and Chris Donohue; Phil Rohr from Rohr Towing who provided the cars; the Holiday Inn Express and Triple Play; Peter Goodwin; KCSD, including Kevin Smart and several others; Northwest MedStar; Bell Tower Funeral Home, including Rob Clark and Kip Clark; KCSAC, including Tammy Rubino and Jennifer Ramb; and especially to Anita Kronvall of the Kootenai County Substance Abuse Council.

These people and organizations gave countless hours to this program, and we want them to know how greatly we appreciate their service to our students, our school and our community. Thank you for everything you do for us and for taking your time to make a difference in the lives of our students.

Sincerely,

LAKELAND HIGH SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
