GRIDLOCK: Here's an unusual idea

In a moment of patriotic zeal, a solution to the endlessly deadlocked, do-nothing Congress, an efficient and beneficial solution came to mind. 

The president, by executive decree, could make dueling legal for members of Congress. To avoid the lack of success, so characteristic of this group, weapons would be sawed-off shotguns, ammunition 00 buckshot and distance between combatants no more than 10 feet. Congressional deadlock would end faster than a politician can waste or steal money.
