Jesse John Wilkenson (aka Brebner), 20, who escaped from the Benewah County Jail in St. Maries on Friday night, is back in custody, according to the Idaho Department of Correction.

IDOC spokesman Jeff Ray said he was informed by the sheriff's office that Wilkenson was caught off Conklin Road in Kootenai County at about 2 this morning.

The capture was a joint effort between Plummer Police, Benewah County and Coeur d'Alene Tribal Police.

Wilkenson is a convicted burglar who had just been sentenced to an IDOC retained jurisdiction program. He escaped down a fire escape at the jail.
