In regard to Chris Leblanc's letter regarding the closure of Sherman Avenue for the "kids and dogs parade:" I distinctly remember, back in the ‘60s, my cousin and I, with the help of a couple of boxes found behind Runge's Furniture and some paint, turning ourselves into a pair of dice to march in what I recall as the Kiddie Parade. We were quite proud of our creative endeavor and had a lot of fun. The torch has since been passed to two more generations.
I love that Coeur d'Alene has maintained its small town traditions. It's one more thing that makes this a wonderful place to live.
