KINGS: More like hypocrites

| July 10, 2011 10:00 PM

This is a response to the letter from Doug Jewel on fireworks noise. I've seen your columns before and like my neighbor, you seem to expect everyone to live by your rules instead of the law or common courtesy. Fireworks are legal and until they are outlawed buy earplugs!

When growing up you had the freedom to enjoy the 4th and if you have kids you probably did the same with them. Now that you are older everything is a nuisance.

I want to know who made you King of the world? People like you and my neighbor have barking dogs, use power tools and have visitors to your home - did you ever think what you do may be bothering your neighbors? Well of course not because you're King.

My neighbor revs his pile-o-garbage car for hours on end, has barking dogs, a loud diesel truck all of which are a nuisance 365 days a year, then he calls the police on other neighbors because "we bother him." The entire neighborhood lives on eggshells.

Here is an idea: Why don't you hypocrite whiners move out of neighborhoods and go live in a cave or old folks home (better yet, Venezuela) so the rest of us can have a chance to raise our families without having the police called on us every time something bothers you? Take a look in the mirror before you call the police. I bet you're a nuisance to your neighbors every single day. Oh wait - you're King so the rules don't apply.
