Swoboda to be guest

speaker at kNIFVES meeting

Frank Swoboda, founder and president of Corner Booth Media in Spokane will be the guest speaker at the kNIFVES (Northwest Independent Film & Video Entertainment Society) July meeting, Thursday, July 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the new and exciting Seasons of Coeur d'Alene, 209 Lakeside Ave. in Coeur d'Alene

Frank is an award winning writer, director and producer. Frank wrote and produced the feature film "The Basket," Movie Guide's Family Film of the Year in 2000. As an accomplished commercial director, Frank's award shelf includes a National Addy and a Best of Show at Show West.

Economic Advisory Council to meet in Coeur d'Alene

The Idaho Economic Advisory Council will meet in Coeur d'Alene on Thursday and Friday, to review grant programs that receive state and federal funds for community and economic development projects.

The meeting will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort, in room Bay 2.

The agenda includes a grant application presentation from the city of Post Falls.

There will also be regional updates from council members and divisional updates from the Idaho Department of Commerce.
