Notice of Public Comment Period Second Substantial Amendment to CDBG Entitlement Program Annual Action Plan 2010 The City of Coeur d'Alene is proposing to substantially amend the Action Plan for Plan Year 2010 under the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program. This amendment will provide a clear description of activities selected for funding with CDBG dollars under the 2010 plan years. In their 2010, Action Plan the City allocated $100,000 toward community grants, allocations in the amount of $86,000 were made, leaving $14,000 unallocated. $10,000 is proposed to be granted to Whitewater Development for the Riverstone apartment project and $4,000 toward a public service project (which is within the 15% public service cap) with the Lake City Senior Center for a facility enhancement in support of the Meals on Wheels program. Additionally, the City of Coeur d'Alene identified $27,006 for sidewalk enhancements in exchange for two low-income rental units; however, the project was unable to come to fruition. The City has additional sidewalk projects funded and will continue to work on sidewalks within the LMI Census Block areas.
