NEGLECT: Press should apologize

In reflection of the Front Page neglect article... There is no excuse for animal neglect or abuse. I personally own many animals that I admit are spoiled. However, I found this animal neglect article repulsive.

The Veterinarian aged the dog at approximately 14 years. No one knows this dog's life story or how it came to be a stray. The way the dog's life ended is too bad, but to liken it to "Auschwitz" goes too far.

To cheapen the suffering and death of millions of human beings, who were tortured and murdered by evil men during the Holocaust, by comparing their deaths to the death of an old dog is nothing short of disgusting and reprehensible, and to publish this on the front page of the paper is irresponsible.
