PETS: Two heroes and three cheers

| January 23, 2011 9:00 PM

I'm glad I'm a procrastinator. Now I have the chance to thank two heroes instead of just one.

First I was going to thank Bill for being the kind of MAN who not only takes in a freezing kitty in the winter (I remember how cold it was at the end of November), but also being allergic (I too am allergic to cats, but deal with it for the ones I too have rescued), and then to climb the tree to help the little girl out once again. Clap, clap, clap! Way to go Bill!

You asked, "What kind of person would I be to just leave it out to freeze? A bad guy." There are a lot of "bad guys" out there Bill who not only would have left her out there, but they are the ones who PUT them out there. You saved her life.

Remember people, spay and neuter your animals. Don't dump them either, which leads me to Jean Curran. You too lady are a hero! You saved that poor dog too. Maybe not in the way we all wished, but you put her out of her misery. THANK YOU for being the kind of person who cares! God Bless both of you.

I wish two things. First, that everyone in this state would band together and be the voice for all animals, and make animal abuse/cruelty a felony instead of just a misdemeanor with a slap on the wrist. Idaho is the last of this great country where people don't say, "It's NOT OK to abuse animals!" We are only one of three states left where it's not a felony, please vote to change that folks. Second, I wish for the person who did that to that poor, pathetic dog to suffer the same consequences. Or just find out who they are and pass the info on to me.
