| January 22, 2011 8:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The city of Coeur d'Alene established a local improvement district to fund infrastructure improvements on Government Way from Dalton to Hanley avenues.

LID 150 passed unanimously Tuesday night. It will pay for water and sewer installation on Government Way, Park and Sunup avenues.

The total project cost is estimated to be $450,000, including the share of the sewer facilities being constructed by the city of Dalton. The amount of the LID is about $215,000, with the Coeur d'Alene water and wastewater department funding the remaining amount. It breaks down to around $54 per lineal foot for affected property owners.

The infrastructure improvements will go in before Coeur d'Alene and Dalton begin street work on Government Way this year.
