CURRIE: Goodbye, and good riddance

Re: Saturday’s Press article ‘Currie says goodbye,’ telling readers of all of the good service Mr. Currie provided.

I especially liked the line “working with people and trying to help them where you can.”

I wrote the commissioners in 2004 about an issue of great importance to me. The response, signed by all three commissioners including Mr. Currie, was typical political doublespeak that in essence told me to take a hike. This unhelpful non response was noteworthy enough I still have it.

Face up Mr. Currie, if you had been doing the great job you thought you had you would still be commissioner.

A hearty ‘Good Bye’ to you.
