Dale Melvin Druckrey, 61

| January 4, 2011 4:14 AM

Dale Melvin Druckrey, 61, passed away from a sudden heart attack on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in Sagle. Some say his heart was too full of love for his wife, friends and family and the great love he had for the outdoors.

Dale was a master carpenter for many years, but his interest in photography and his eye for detail made him a great outdoor photographer. He spent almost 20 years in the mountains of Colorado where he perfected his tele-skiing, and where he met his soul mate Cheryl who joined him in their shared passion of summer and winter sports. Dale enjoyed being outdoors all year round and was often found hiking, biking or trail running after a day of building something beautiful.

In recent years, Dale and Cheryl moved to Idaho to enjoy new skiing adventures and formed Pinnacle Relocation Services, a company that assists the senior population. They were lucky enough to live in a mountain cabin where Dale enjoyed snowshoeing, back country skiing and photographing nature at its finest. Dale was always able to tell a good story and he and Cheryl shared a love of laughter that kept them close in tough times.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Carriere who resides in Sagle; his mother, Audrey Druckrey of Neenah, Wis.; sisters Christine Rushton of Mequan, Wis., Juelaine Druckrey of Madison, Wis.; brothers Randy Druckrey of Tiburon, Calif., Daryl Druckrey of Portland, Ore., Brian Druckrey of Oshkosh, Wis.; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and one grandnephew and many many friends who will miss him tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Druckrey and one brother, Terry Druckrey.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at the Garden Plaza in Post Falls. He will also be remembered by friends and family on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Neenah. Dale will make his final ski trip with wife Cheryl to Colorado to be returned to the mountains he loved so much.
