LAPWAI - Seth Dreadfulwater scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Grangeville Bulldogs past the Coeur d'Alene Charter Panthers 53-34 in the opening round of the 2A District 1-2 tournament Wednesday night.

"We played really well in the first half and really struggled in the second," Coeur d'Alene Charter coach Brian Childs said.

Coeur d'Alene Charter (15-4) faces Orofino in a loser-out game Saturday at 7 p.m. at Lapwai.

Lakeside 68, Kootenai 61: At Plummer, Lamont Higgins and Nate Weaselhead scored 13 points apiece as the Knights defeated the Warriors to claim the North Star League title.

Jake Zarpentine scored 20 points for Kootenai (5-11, 3-5), which faces the winner of the Clark Fork-Mullan game for a berth to the 1A Division II state tournament next Friday.

Joseph Chapman scored 12 points for Lakeside (11-7, 6-1), which hosts Wallace in the 1A District 1 Division I playoff game Wednesday.
