Leslie's Furniture and Framing has relocated to Post Falls, now offering high-quality used furniture along with its frames.

Married owners Leslie Curran and Jesse Ojala, of Rathdrum, moved the business from Hayden, where it was located for three years.

At 9422 N. Government Way, in 2,000 square feet of leased space, it sold ready made and custom-order frames along with some collectibles.

With the move to 1600 E. Seltice Way, the business tripled in size with 6,000 square feet of leased floor space. Most of the floor space will be used for the showroom.

Michael Avilla is the building's owner.

Ojala said the building is well suited to the store's new needs and the new location will help attract more walk-in traffic.

At the Post Falls location, the business has begun selling used furniture for the first time.

It sells the furniture on consignment, and other pieces it obtains online and at auctions. It will also sell some new items produced by local makers, Ojala said.

The business offers couches, love seats, and chairs along with the wood furniture, Ojala said.

About two-thirds of the store's business has been the sale of ready-made frames, with the remainder being the sale of custom-order frames, he said.

Many of its customers have been people with limited-edition prints, he said.

The business also will be selling artwork on its walls.

The business is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It opened at the new location on Jan. 31, he said.
