Cara Gillaspy, 46

Cara Lynn Gillaspy, 46, of Coeur d'Alene, passed into God's loving arms Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center after a brief illness. Her family was by her side. Cara was born Dec. 27, 1964, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Roger E. and Sherryl (Price) Gillaspy.

Cara lived in Underwood, Iowa, until the age of 9, when her parents moved to Post Falls. She graduated from Post Falls High School and worked in office positions at several Coeur d'Alene businesses over the years. Cara enjoyed traveling with her children, especially to Canada, camping, reading, rainbows, music, concerts, artistic projects and playing the guitar.

She is survived by her son, Chad Bickel, his wife, Alicia and grandson, Kyler of Post Falls; her daughter, Bethany Raugust of Hayden; her sister, Stacia Gillaspy of Spokane Valley, Wash.; her parents, Roger and Sherryl Gillaspy of Post Falls; a niece, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be forever in our hearts.
