Apple progresses with plans to replace television

Apple Inc. is moving forward with plans to develop a new version of television, according to the Washington Post.

Company executives have been in discussions with other prominent companies about the project, which would create a television that uses wireless streaming to access shows, movies and other content.

The technology could also recognize users across phones, tablets and TVs, and respond to users' voices.
