COEUR d'ALENE - Moses Lake police say they have confiscated a moving van filled with items they believe were stolen out of Kootenai County.

The items were recovered after police arrested suspects in possession of the van. The suspects could be connected to a string of burglaries in Coeur d'Alene in the past few months, according to Coeur d'Alene police.

Coeur d'Alene officers have also recovered stolen property inside city limits from burglaries that have occurred around Kootenai County, police said in a press release.

In those cases, a North Idaho task force has arrested multiple suspects.

The number of arrests couldn't be provided Friday afternoon, nor from where the items were recovered, but Sgt. Christie Wood said investigations continue and there could be more arrests.

"We did recover quite a bit of property," Wood said.

The exact amount of recovered items wasn't available Friday.

"In some cases there are large plastic bags full of miscellaneous jewelry," Wood said.

Meantime, theft victims should friend request their old property.

Both Coeur d'Alene and Moses Lake police departments are posting pictures of the stolen goods on their Facebook pages.

"We thought that would be the easiest way to do it," Wood said. "Almost everyone has Facebook."

The Coeur d'Alene Police Department's site is http://www.facebook.com/CoeurdAlenePD.

Those who see their items should contact the detective division at 769-2291 and provide a police report number. Those without a police report number should expect the process to take longer.

Investigators believe all of the property confiscated in Moses Lake was stolen in Kootenai County.

Monitor the Facebook pages daily for updates and photos.

Anyone with information on the residential burglaries in the city and county is asked to contact the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, 769-2320.
