Back to school, back to basics

It's approaching fast. The new outfits have been found, fresh school supplies bought and although not quite ready, everyone is prepared to go back to school. But is your or your child's spine ready?

It always takes a certain amount of resolve to get back in the swing of learning and homework responsibility; chiropractic care is a lot like being back in school. We are always trying to educate our patients on the importance of knowing how your body functions, of awareness of all the options and facts, and being proactive about your health - all which that take time, learning, and yes, sometimes a little homework.

Fall is the perfect time to get a jumpstart on you, and your family's health. There is always the dread of the school germs the kids bring home, the added stress of sporting and school events, holidays around the corner and not to mention the gradual cool weather. All of these factors can affect your spine's health; it is not necessarily physical trauma that causes subluxations and misalignments.

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, proactive health approach that works with an individual's unique lifestyle; not all of us have the same hobbies, jobs or past health history so all our spines will be different. But we all have amazing bodies that are created to heal themselves if our nervous system is working properly. If we have problems with our spine, it is going to negatively impact our nervous system and its function. So start your school year off right and find out how to get your family's health checkup today!
