Josh Hamilton broke out of a slump with a long two-run homer and the tiebreaking RBI single for the AL West-leading Texas Rangers, who rallied for a 9-5 victory over the chasing Los Angeles Angels at Arlington, Texas.
The Rangers lead by three games.
Rays 12, Blue Jays 0: David Price struck out a franchise-record 14 in seven dominant innings, Desmond Jennings hit a pair of solo home runs and Tampa Bay won at Toronto.
Twins 11, Tigers 4: At Minneapolis, Luke Hughes hit two home runs to help Minnesota beat Detroit, stopping a seven-game losing streak.
Orioles 2-3, Yankees 0-8: Curtis Granderson hit two of New York's five home runs, rookie Ivan Nova won his 10th straight decision, and visiting New York beat Baltimore for a split of a day-night doubleheader.
In the first game, rookie Zach Britton allowed four hits over seven innings for Baltimore. It was Deter Jeter's 2,402nd game with New York, breaking a tie with Mickey Mantle for most in a Yankees uniform.
Royals 2, Indians 1: Bruce Chen won his career-high fifth straight start as Kansas City won at Cleveland.

Brewers 3, Cubs 2: Zack Greinke pitched effectively into the eighth to remain perfect at home, Corey Hart homered for the second time in as many days and Milwaukee swept Chicago.
Diamondbacks 6, Padres 1: At Phoenix, Ian Kennedy became the National League's first 17-game winner and Arizona beat San Diego for its sixth straight victory.
Astros 4, Giants 3, 11 inn.: Matt Downs delivered a go-ahead single with one out in the 11th inning and visiting Houston beat San Francisco.
Reds 5, Nationals 4: Joey Votto led off the 14th inning with his second home run of the game, lifting Cincinnati over visiting Washington.
Cardinals 7, Pirates 4: Kyle Lohse notched his 100th career win and St. Louis beat visiting Pittsburgh.
Rockies 7, Dodgers 6: Kevin Kouzmanoff drove in his first four runs since joining Colorado this week, and the visiting Rockies needed five relievers to hold off Los Angeles.
