James Grant Elliott, 28

July 14, 1983 - Aug. 20, 2011

James Grant Elliott, of St. Maries, born July 14, 1983, passed away on Aug. 20, 2011.

James was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He grew up and lived the majority of his life in Priest River. He graduated from Priest River Lamanna High School with the class of 2002. He attended North Idaho College and the University of Idaho.

James loved spending time with his son and family. He enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, dirt bike riding and snowmobiling. He enjoyed horseback riding and rodeos and recently rode his first bull. He worked as a Special Services Technician at Frontier Communications.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Meryl Rehn, and Dick Elliott.

He is survived by his son, Austin Elliott. Also survived are his mother, Cindy McSmith; father Grant Elliott; stepmother Pam Elliott; brother Daniel Elliott; sister Melissa Scott; brother-in-law Brian Scott; niece Mallory Scott; grandmother Irene Adamoli; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at St. Mary's Church, 304 South Adams Road, Spokane Valley. A reception will follow Mass. His internment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
