NOTICE OF EURASIAN WATERMILFOIL HERBICIDE TREATMENT Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum), is a non-native water weed designated as noxious in the State of Idaho. This plant has been found in Kootenai County at Harrison Slough, infesting shallow areas. Kootenai County Noxious Weed Control, in cooperation with federal and state agencies, has contracted with a professionally-licensed aquatic weed management company for herbicide treatments in portions of the lakes. Weather permitting, herbicide applications will occur the week of August 30, 2011. The aquatic herbicide treatment plan involves the use of liquid Weedestroy AM-40 (active ingredient: 2,4-D). We will treat sections of Harrison Slough, totaling no more than 230 acres.
