'HJ' Henry John Parent Jr., 33

"HJ" Henry John Parent Jr., 33, of Post Falls, died Aug. 14, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center due to injuries caused by an accident with a train in Rathdrum. HJ was born May 14, 1978, to Donna and Henry Parent. HJ was born in the same hospital where he died.

HJ was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and "Dukes of Hazard." He loved the outdoors, the wilder the better. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and camping.

HJ is survived by his daughter, Shelby of Post Falls; a brother, Matthew of Tacoma, Wash.; father Henry Parent of Eagle Point, Ore.; mother Donna Smith and stepfather John Bamford of Gresham, Ore.; nephew Bently Parent of Simi Valley, Calif.; grandparents Richard and Hazel Smith and Annette Parent, all of Post Falls, and John C. Bamford of Keiser, Ore. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

HJ was preceded in death by grandparents George Parent and Jean Smith.

A memorial will be held in his memory at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Lifeway Chapel, 501 W. 15th Ave., Post Falls. Child care will be provided.
