Unusable pesticide collection dates set

COEUR d'ALENE - Unusable pesticides can be disposed of in May.

Participation is free for the first 1,000 pounds of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and rodenticides. They can be brought to the Coeur d'Alene transfer station, 3650 Ramsey Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12.

"These collections provide a mechanism for disposing of pesticides in an environmentally safe and sound manner," said Victor Mason II, manager of the Idaho State Department of Agriculture's pesticide disposal and container recycling programs.
