BOISE (AP) - The Idaho Department of Correction has located an escaped inmate who had been assigned to a low-security work center.

The agency says 42-year-old Donald Leroy Smith walked away from his job at a Boise business on Thursday, but was found less than two hours after he vanished.

Smith had been scheduled to be released on July 20. He now faces the possibility of an escape charge.

The correction department says Smith's criminal history includes convictions for possession of a controlled substance in Adams County, failure to appear in court in Gem County and forgery in Payette County.

Smith had been assigned to the South Idaho Correctional Institution Community Work Center near Boise.
