Wilson spins gem for Texas

C.J. Wilson struck out nine in seven strong innings and the Texas Rangers returned home with a 7-1 victory over the AL West rival Los Angeles Angels on Monday night in Arlington, Texas.

Rays 5, White Sox 0: David Price allowed four hits in eight dominant innings and Tampa Bay beat slumping Chicago in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Red Sox 9, Blue Jays 1: Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched one-hit ball for seven sharp innings, Jed Lowrie got four more hits and host Boston extended its winning streak to three games with a win over Toronto.

Twins 5, Orioles 3: Francisco Liriano took a two-hitter into the seventh inning, and visiting Minnesota beat Baltimore to extend the Orioles' losing streak to eight games.

Indians 7, Royals 3, 10 inn.: Pinch-hitter Shelley Duncan's RBI double sparked a four-run 10th and visiting Cleveland beat Kansas City.

• NATIONAL LEAGUE

Pirates 9, Reds 3: Andrew McCutchen doubled home two runs to help visiting Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati.

Cubs 1, Padres 0, 10 inn.: Pinch-hitter Tyler Colvin doubled home Geovany Soto with two outs in the 10th to lift host Chicago over San Diego.

Giants 8, Rockies 1: Tim Lincecum, the two-time Cy Young Award winner, took a no-hitter into the seventh and San Francisco routed Colorado.

Brewers 6, Phillies 3. 12 inn.: Ryan Braun drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the 12th and Milwaukee won at Philadelphia.

Dodgers 4, Braves 2: Ted Lilly pitched seven scoreless innings and James Loney had two RBIs, leading host Los Angeles over Atlanta.
