Raymond 'Skip' Barker Jr., 67
Raymond "Skip" Barker Jr., 67, of Spirit Lake: His spirit went peacefully to heaven on April 8, 2011, with family by his side. Born April 16, 1943, to Raymond and Hazel Barker in Buckeye, Ariz.
When a young man, he was in the Navy and told interesting stories of that time.
He was an auto body craftsman and painter having built, fixed and restored many vehicles from California, Arizona, Washington and Idaho for 50 years starting that trade when we was 14 years old. The last few years he built and designed outstanding wood boxes and restored wood furniture.
He watches over his friend and wife, J.Lee Cook as well as children Bryan (Janet), Brandy, Pandy (Bob) and grandchildren Whisper, Skyler (Amy), Courtney and Bryan. He leaves behind his long-lost daughter, Debra Sue; brothers Ralph (Lonna) and John; sisters Sue (Claude) and Mary; plus many nieces and nephews and always friends.
On Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, there will be a remembrance at Bob and Pandy's - bring stories.
