SCAM: Readers, another warning

| April 8, 2011 10:00 PM

We received a telephone call March 29, supposedly from Canada, from our Grandson. He said he had been arrested. He desperately asked us to send $9,700 for bail. He was too embarrassed to call his parents.

Alerted to these SCAMS, thanks to the Coeur d'Alene Press, my husband called to report this to the Coeur d'Alene police while I called my grandson's cell phone in Utah to find him at work, having a wonderful routine day. Nevertheless, this experience was nerve-shattering to all. Folks BEWARE! Especially grandparents, BEWARE - they are merciless!
