Nick Shriner scored the go-ahead goal on a rebound from just in front of the net in the 75th minute, lifting North Idaho College to a 3-1 victory over the University of Idaho club team Sunday at Eisenwinter Field.

Jamil Lawyer, who assisted on Shriner’s goal, scored the clinching goal five minutes later for NIC (4-4-1).

“We’ve had a tough couple of matches the last week and a half,” NIC coach Scott Moorcroft said, “and we had fun today. It was nice to score a few goals.”

NIC’s men and women travel to Cheyenne, Wyo., for games Saturday vs. Iowa Western and Sunday vs. Laramie County.
