Garden volunteers sought

| September 25, 2010 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - In honor of National Public Lands Day the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District is seeking volunteers to help make improvements to the pollinator and native plant garden at the district's Fernan office today.

Volunteers are needed to help with planting, composting, and installing signs that identify the nearly 50 different plant species in the garden.

About 25 volunteers are needed to help tend to the garden from 9 a.m. to noon. Some gardening tools will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and gardening tools to ensure enough supplies to go around.

Volunteers should be 18 years of age or older, or accompanied by a supervising adult.
