As the Idaho Career Information System looks to its 31st year, it is launching its annual fall workshops to bring school counselors, career development specialists and others up to date on the enhancements made to the only comprehensive source of Idaho-specific career information on jobs, career requirements and postsecondary schools.

Seven workshops are scheduled over the next three weeks, including one today at the North Idaho College Workforce Training Center, 525 W. Clearwater Loop in Post Falls.

The day-long workshops will cover the various components of the Career Information System, which is already available at no charge in all 25 Idaho Department of Labor offices, most public libraries and nearly every school district. Free access to the basic information in the system will be extended to the general public in November.
