Robert Wilson, 76
Robert L. Wilson, 76, a resident of Beggs, Okla., died Saturday, Sept.11, 2010, at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Pratt, Kan., to Alfred John and Ethel (Pierce) Wilson. Robert had a great love for fishing and earlier in his life also enjoyed hunting. He was a collector of his own treasures and enjoyed the animals that came his way. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, he made his home in Idaho for many years before moving to Oklahoma in 1989. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lee Wilson, two brothers, Louis Wilson and Alfred Junior Wilson, three sisters, Lola Gerricke, Lois Clark and June Wilson, two step brothers, Ralph Messecar and Harold Messecar and one step-daughter, Rhonda Brown. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home, a sister, Doris Gibbons, five sons, Michael Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Randy Wilson, Richard Wilson and Anthony Dean Wilson, four daughters, Roberta Chapman, Shirley Wilson, Peggy Tracy and Rebecca Quincy, a step-son, Eric Frick, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Committal services were held Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Pratt, Kan. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, Okla.
